The Maes, Trouble in the Kitchen

30 August 2026

6:00 pm

Ticketed ($40.80)

The Maes are coming back to their hometown to celebrate the first year of their highly anticipated 2025 album Abreast. Fresh back from a tour of Europe opening for Marlon Williams, The Maes are reflecting on the first year of Abreast which they released in 2025 to rave reviews, prestigious media appearances and a long string of sold-out shows. They are preparing to release two additional tracks, to expand the universe of Abreast and wrap up their biggest ever year as a band.

The Maes bring modern folk to life with lush harmonies and acoustic mastery on guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. Born in Victoria, Australia, the sisters grew up immersed in a melting pot of music from around the world washed up on stolen land. The Maes are outstanding live, with engaging storytelling and spine tingling harmonies. The sisters draw their audience in like your sweetest and scariest friend. With echoes of Gillian Welch and The Waifs, there is a timeless luminescence and simplicity to the songwriting and sound of Maggie and Elsie Rigby.
